MES and the Mitchell Seniors’ Center made a connection today.  We have been talking for a few months about how our school might connect with those who attend the Tuesday morning breakfast at the Seniors’ Center.  Today our music teacher, Albert Bergen, brought our grade 4 choir to sing at the breakfast.  We were warmly welcomed by the community and all 85 students worked hard to focus on their performance amidst the aroma of bacon and pancakes!

Our next visit is scheduled for May 3, which will involve a smaller number of students.  We hope to share something once again, have a pancake together and explore this connection further.  Thanks to Dick Penner, who has worked with us to make this community connection possible.  We had a great time and we appreciate the opportunity to connect in this way.
