PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE: I Love To Read Month

With the transition to critical level orange in January, our new learning spaces have proven to be invaluable. As we maintain student safety, we now have this beautiful new space to enhance student learning. We waited many years for this added space and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Beyond the new classrooms, it’s been a pleasure to discover all the ways that we can incorporate the multipurpose room and library into enriched learning opportunities that would not have been possible during this time otherwise.

January was highlighted by “Milk Week” with lots of fun school-wide challenges and student prizes. Thank you to Mrs. Koop and Mrs. Barkman for taking this on and making it fun for everyone. A big thanks to you at home, for providing your kids with milk-based snacks and lunch items as we promote the value of healthy food choices. February brings I Love to Read month, when the students will participate in a variety of activities designed to promote and encourage a love of reading. What better time to initiate our bright new library space! How fortunate we are.

We would like to extend a big thank you to Mr. L. and his staff for all of their hard work and diligence in cleaning, and re-cleaning high touch surfaces throughout the school. Providing a safe place at MES for both students and staff continues to be a daily endeavor. It truly is a team effort in making MES a “Great Place to Grow.”
