Returning to Community

With our wonderful end of summer mini-heatwave, it seemed out of place to hear the honk of geese while sitting around the fire last night – almost shocking. More importantly, it was a great reminder of the importance of community, teamwork, and collaboration. I’m told that geese support each other when times are tough and that two geese will fall out of formation to stay with an injured or sick goose. And, of course, geese fly further together than alone.

While there are a number of interesting life parallels that can be drawn here, I would simply like to offer a hearty “welcome!” to our new registrants and “welcome back!” to our students, parents, teachers, EA’s, support staff, grandparents, guardians, and friends of MES. We are returning to “community” on many different levels this fall. Let’s be  reminded of the importance of community, teamwork, and collaboration as we all fly further together to make MES “A Great Place to Grow!”
