I really, really do love reading.” I love reading for pleasure, I love reading to my daughters, and I simply love it that I can read. DRESSING FOR THE WEATHER

The cold weather has settled in and in most likelihood will be getting colder. Brrrr! Now is the time to remember to wear toques, mittens, ski pants, etc..

Also, with the wet snow, it can be a good idea to pack extra socks & mittens as students do go out for recess if the temperature/ windchill is –29 or warmer.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In severe weather conditions, the school division closes the school and stops the buses. An announcement is made on radio stations CHSM (AM1250), CFAM (AM950), CJOB (AM680), 95.1 FM and 96.7 FM between 7 and 8 am., advising parents in such cases, as well as a bulletin on the HSD website.

December was filled with concerts and festive activities. MES Christmas Concert was very well attended and we continue to be appreciative of your support. We thank you for coming along side of us as we help our students strive for excellence.

As one year comes to an end, so do some staff tenures. We wish Tamara Banman all the best as her term in grade 2 concludes. Secondly we wish Susan Nickel all the best in her retirement after working more than 20 years for Hanover School Division, most of which has been as the head secretary at MES.

Susan, we thank you for all of your commitment and dedication to our school and community.

With the New Year, comes new beginnings. We welcome back Heidi Newman and we welcome Eddi Konrad as they begin in Grade 2 in January. We also welcome Janette Koop to the office as she takes on the role of head secretary.
